This entails several questions that I have to ask. I don’t like to talk about my current job. Doing something else would make me happier. What am I excited about? Not my current job. To analyze this in further detail, I will break it down. Dealing with people who do not understand basic common courtesy, outdated technology, slow computer systems, office politics, antiquated ways of doing business, bureaucracy, being accused of things that I did not do, being held over a fire for things other people did not do, and being told what to do are all things that I do not like. Sorry to sound a little pessimistic.
What really excites me is working independently, psychology, art, science, technology, photography, writing, meeting new people, helping people, teaching people, learning from other people, and being around people who are great thinkers, and occasionally working with other people. Why am I excited about it? People are interesting to me and I feel I can excel in these areas. There are a lot of people who are hurting out there. If I have information that can help them, then I feel I have accomplished something. Also, I feel there are areas where I cannot help people as in my current position, where there is a lot of frustration.
How will what I want to do serve people? Who will it serve are tougher questions. Sometimes people are funny. They may not realize they need help, but if it is made to be fun, it will help them. I believe the general populace can be helped. The areas I work in may best be suited to working with children. If you can mold young minds, they will be great thinkers as adults.
How does it uniquely tie into my story, passions, talents and/or experience? Well, I am a mother. I do love to help my children. Currently, I do belong to several groups that believe in helping others through getting better information and surrounding yourself with people who have similar goals.
Why do I care and why should the world care? Because the children are the future. Helping the children will help them become better thinking adults. The world could use more thinking, caring, respectful, and enlightened children.
