My daughter is excited for her birthday. At least one of us is excited for a birthday. I want to slow down time. For me it keeps speeding up. I wish I had as much excitement as she did. However, I know that is all in my power.
As an adult, our lives get complicated. There are so many mundane tasks to do. I realize it is time to break away from old patterns and try some new things. That is what brings excitement. Just like when a child opens a birthday gift. They know what they want, however they are happy unless they get a pair of socks or underwear.
I too must look at what I can do to surprise myself on a daily basis and look forward to opening. Life is such a gift. It can be exciting, if you let it.
