How do feel about pie? It is that time of year. It is officially fall. Time to go apple picking. Are you going to visit a Pumpkin Patch? It seems like this year went fast.
I was talking to a friend. She said her dad said, ” As you get older the pieces of pie get smaller because life seems to go by faster.” Just enjoy what you have now, because life moves faster as you get older. I remember I could not wait till school was out and we had summer vacations at the pool. I could not wait for Christmas to come along either.
I try to make the most of each and every day. Time slips through my hands as if it were grains of sand. Take time to treasure what you have. My kids are super important to me. I confess there are times, when I am compelled to finish something, and just ask for a few more minutes and then I can play with them.
I get up early in the morning to find the time to do the tasks I can accomplish uninterrupted. When I am doing the things that I love, time seems to go by even faster. Taking the time to prioritize what is important to me is imperative.
Not having a plan can throw my entire day off schedule. I am not so rigid that I have to adhere to the schedule. A good way to set up your priorities is to ask yourself what intentions you have. Why do you want to accomplish what you want to accomplish? That is the most pivotal question you can ask yourself. Procrastination can kill any motivation. I also question if what I do will benefit others. Questioning what I am doing and if it really needs to be done at this moment is also a way of looking at your to do list. Being busy for the sake of being busy is not the way I want to spend my piece of the pie. Taking time to enjoy each piece and making memories along the way is what is important to me. Savor every moment.
