Being an adventurous person, I take on borders in my home. I have met people from all over the world. Last night I had the chance to see one of them again. She was from Germany.
I had a nice chat with her. In talking with her, I realized we all want the same things in life. We all want to love and be loved. Not necessarily the romantic kind of love. There is unconditional love that a parent has for a child. There is great joy in loving your friends, and helping them out where you can. We all want to belong and not necessarily follow the herd.
There is great satisfaction in having meaningful friendships. I try to maintain friends on and off line. I enjoy meeting new people. There are awesome people out there who give without expecting in return. There is great joy in giving and being vulnerable. I don’t expect anything in return. I also belong to a couple of different organizations that help people improve their lives. I give when asked and even when I am not asked. I know people are hurting out there. I give of my time, talents, and treasures. There are no words. There is no language barrier when it comes to love. So choose love.
